Thinking about baptism

Those who seek baptism, for themselves or their children are making a public expression of their faith in Jesus Christ and committing themselves to live according to God’s will.

Baptism, is a practice of the church following a command of Jesus.

At our baptism we are welcomed into the family of the Church and the Church promises to nurture our faith in Jesus Christ.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me,” and we read in the Bible that whole households were baptised. So, the church has a long tradition of baptising people of all ages from wee bairns to very mature adults.
